TERMS & CONDITIONS

We require every enquiry to be aware of Pocket Puppies' Terms and Conditions before they commit to being a potential new owner.

When you adopt a puppy Terms & Conditions link are supplied on our invoice, so that you are aware of the policies that you, the purchaser, are accepting when you confirm to adopt a puppy from Pocket Puppies.

Section 1

1.0

We are in accordance with New South Wales Government Industry & Investment Animal Welfare Code of Practice of Bredding Dogs and Cats, section 9.1.2.11, pg 26.

As quoted in the Code of Practice:

'Dogs or cats should not be sold to inappropriate purchasers.' 

  • Pocket Puppies' reserve the right to refuse the sale of any puppy to any person for whatever reason, if the party that has been refused has already made payment, a refund will be made immediately, less Paypal fees (if applicable).

 

1.1

  • Once payment has been placed upon a puppy, 50% of purchase price is non-refundable, there is no exceptions of circumstance. This clause is made redundant if statement 1.0 occurs.

 

1.2

  • We do not in any form hold puppies until a written statement (email) is sent to Pocket Puppies confirming that they wish to purchase a specific puppy - the holding period between the acceptance to purchase a puppy and receiving payment is stated on the invoice provided; after this time if payment has not been received, your puppy will no longer be on hold and be available to others to purchase.

 

1.3

  • Once payment has been placed upon a puppy it is non-transferrable - this is in the instance that you are no longer wanting the puppy you have chosen (before receiving the puppy) and are wishing to change to a different puppy that is available. This is permitted, however, the amount of $1500, will be lost and not be retractable from the alternative puppy's purchase price. Please note: completing this action may cause a revision by Pocket Puppies of your acceptability of adopting a puppy and may result in a rejection. In the instance of a rejection clause 1.0. is in place.

 

1.4

 

  • When the collection details for your puppy are sent to the purchaser, the purchaser is required to confirm that their puppy will be collected to take to the new owner's dwelling. If the purchaser does not confirm that their puppy will be collected 7 days prior to the designated arrival and makes no attempt to make contact in regards to the collection - this action is representative that the purchaser no longer wishes to purchase the puppy and all rights will be forfeited including 50% of the purchase price of puppy. 

 

 

1.5

We are in accordance with New South Wales Government Industry & Investment Animal Welfare Code of Practice of Bredding Dogs and Cats in section 9.1.1.3, pg 24: 

As quote in the Code of Practice:

'No dog or puppy, cat or kitten may be sold unless vaccinated in compliance with the requirements of Section 8.2 of this Code.'

 

  • Every cavoodle that leaves our home is vaccinated (C5), microchipped and vet checked, it is your responsibility to be aware of these additional, beneficial features that we provide with each puppy.

 

 

1.6

We are in accordance with New South Wales Government Industry & Investment Animal Welfare Code of Practice of Bredding Dogs and Cats, section 9.1.4 pg 24.

As quoted in the Code of Practice:

'All dogs and cats re-homed must be microchipped, and treated to remove gastrointestinal parasites prior to release.'

 

  • Every cavoodle that leaves our home is micro chipped, treated with Drontal every 2 weeks and treated with Advocate at 6 weeks, it is your responsibility to be aware of these additional, beneficial features that we provide with each puppy.

 

 

1.7

We are in accordance with New South Wales Government Industry & Investment Animal Welfare Code of Practice of Bredding Dogs and Cats, section 9.1.2.4 pg. 25.

As quoted in the Code of Practice:

'Desexing of dogs and cats not intended for breeding is strongly encouraged.'

 

  • Every cavoodle that leaves our home is desexed, it is your responsibility to be aware of this additional, beneficial feature that we provide with each puppy. The confirmation of desexing is displayed on their vaccination card, desexing certificate and from a nation-wide desexing tattoo printed in the left ear.

 

 

1.8

We are in accordance with New South Wales Government Industry & Investment Animal Welfare Code of Practice of Bredding Dogs and Cats in section 9.1.1.2 pg 24.

As quoted in the Code of Practice:

"Dogs and cats must not be re-homed to people less than 18 years of age."

 

 

  • When applying to become the primary owner of a Pocket Puppy, you are also confirming that you are 18 years or older, if not, you are not eligible to become a new owner and need not enquire.

 

 

1.9

We are in accordance with New South Wales Government Industry & Investment Animal Welfare Code of Practice of Bredding Dogs and Cats in section 9.1.1.2 pg 24.

As quoted in the code of practice:

'Puppies and kittens must not be re-homed before they are 8 weeks of age.'

  • Every puppy that is delivered to their new home is over 10 weeks of age, this is displayed on each webpage advertising the puppy (or puppies), it is your responsibility to be aware of this information.

Section 2

2.1

  • For all puppies that are boarding, the puppy's fees must be paid in full 14 days prior to the time the puppy is 9 weeks of age (exactly), failure to complete this will result in a rejection of sale with a 50% refund. This includes boarding fees (and if applicable, second vaccination and advocate treatment fee, see clause 2.2 for more details) to be paid 14 days prior to when the puppy is 9 weeks of age. 

  •  We will notify you when you have lost all rights to the puppy and your eligibility of your 50% refund. 

  • It is your responsibility to be aware of this by reading our email or our Terms & Conditions - both of which is assumed understood by Pocket Puppies when payment has been paid.

 

2.2

  • If you require your puppy to be flown to your destination, Pocket Puppies can organise flight travel to your closest major airport. The animal tranpost company has a service that they offer in which they can have your puppy delivered to your door; if this is something you are interested in, let us know and we can confirm availability.

2.3

  • If you are not available to collect your puppy at the time specified, please contact us immediately.

 

2.4

We are in accordance with New South Wales Government Industry & Investment Animal Welfare Code of Practice of Bredding Dogs and Cats in section 9.1.1.6 pg 24.

As quote in the code of practice: 

'At the time of purchase, clients must be offered accurate written information at no charge which concerns the care of animals purchased.' 

 

  • When payment has been received for each pocket puppy, we provide an email containing a PDF guidebook on how to welcome your new puppy, this information is a guide only and it's intent is to ease the transition process from our home to yours. 

  • We have ensured that you (the purchaser) are aware of the needs of a cavoodle puppy, we have 2 public webpages 'Cavoodle Basics' and 'Care Guide' that contain information that is sufficiently educational as to the needs of a puppy and adult pet cavoodle - it is your responsibility to review both of these provided pages and logically deliberate if you are prepared for a cavoodle before you commit to adopting a pocket puppy.

Section 3

3.1

We are in accordance with New South Wales Government Industry & Investment Animal Welfare Code of Practice of Breeding Dogs and Cats in section 9.1.1  pg 24.

As quoted in the Code of Practice:

'If within 3 days a dog is not acceptable to the purchaser for any reason, the breeder is required to take the dog back and refund 50% of the purchase price of the animal.'

 

  • Travel costs and administration fees not included.

 

3.2

We are in accordance with New South Wales Government Industry & Investment Animal Welfare Code of Practice of Bredding Dogs and Cats in section 9.1.1.5 pg 24.

As quoted in the Code of Practice:

'No dog or cat suspected of being sick, injured or diseased may be sold under any circumstances.'

 

 

  • No puppy that we will sell is suspected of being sick, injured or diseased. Our veterinarian performs a health check on every cavoodle, so to the best of our knowledge with veterinarian approval, your new puppy is not suspected of being sick, injured or diseased in any form.

 

3.3

We are in accordance with New South Wales Government Industry & Investment Animal Welfare Code of Practice of Breeding Dogs and Cats in section 9.1.1.2 pg 25.

As quoted in the Code of Practice:

'If within 7 days a dog or cat is not acceptable to the purchaser due to health reasons, excluding injury, and the complaint is supported by a veterinary practitioner, the breeder and the owner should negotiate in good faith to achieve an equitable outcome.'

 

 

  • In the event that a veterinary practitioner finds a health issue in a puppy within 7 days, excluding injury, our only negotiation in 'good faith' will be in the form of a full refund of the purchase price of puppy, less transport fees, upon the agreement that the puppy would be returned within 48 hours. When you are purchasing your puppy and are accepting our terms & conditions, you are acknowledging that this policy and the conditions therein are Pocket Puppies' only offer in the event that your puppy has a health issue.

  • In no form will we pay any veterinary costs that are not pre-approved in writing by Pocket Puppies that are incurred at any stage.

We recommend and encourage for all owners to have a veterinarian complete a health check within the 7 days of receiving your puppy for their own peace of mind and to be covered by the above policy, Pocket Puppies are not financially liable for this vet check as it is a recommendation only.

Section 4

4.1

  • Every puppy is the property of Pocket Puppies until they have left our premesis.

 

4.2

  • We reserve the right to amend any of our policies at any time.

The Terms & Conditions set out by Pocket Puppies are in place so that our Pocket Puppy Parents (purchasers) are fairly protected by our transparency of policies.
